Senior Australians tax offset calculator

Version 1.1.1
Takes 5 to 10 minutes to complete
Eligibility for the senior Australians tax offset (SATO) depends on certain conditions.  These conditions relate to factors such as age, income and eligibility for Australian government pensions and similar payments.
The Senior Australians tax offset calculator helps you to determine your eligibility and work out your tax offset amount for the 2009–10 income year.

This calculator also takes into account a transfer of your spouse's unused senior Australians or pensioner tax offset.

Note: If you are not eligible for the senior Australians tax offset, you can use the calculator to work out whether you are entitled to the pensioner tax offset.
From 1 July 2009, rebate income is used to determine your eligibility for SATO. You will need to know your rebate income to use this calculator for 2009-10. You can use the Income tests calculator to work out your rebate income.
Bypass eligibility
If you already know you are eligible for SATO, and you only want to make a calculation, click the bypass eligibility box.
